Financial Services – Debt Collections Strategy Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Establish the business requirements for Debt collections system
  • Coordinate with QC to establish the UAT test cases and act as tester during UAT process to ensure the efficiency of the system as per the designed requirements
  • Establish Collection MIS, periodical report (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) or ad hoc
  • Establish the debt collections SoP (standard operations process) for Pre due collections, Overdue collections, Legal collections
  • Establish collections call scripts which is customized as per each collections team (Phone, Field collections)
  • Monitor and analyze the debt collection efficiency
  • Develop adequate debt collection strategy and be the person in charge for the implementation/ monitoring of that strategy in the system
  • Execute (or contribute) in the fraud investigation process
  • Coordinate with Risk policy & Portfolio management team to contribute in the  (Portfolio quality reviews) and recommend the solutions for improvement
  • Establish and supervise the debt collections planning, including cost, hiring and KPIs as per the business plan
  • Review and ensure appropriate organization and headcount is available to achieve budgeted Risk  and collections KPIs
  • Improve the debt collection process
  • Establish the procedure of debt collections quality assurance, in order to supervise the quality of call center, records, the compliance of debt collectors as per the call scripts)
  • Coordinate with Debt collections manager to implement the Debt collectors manpower quality governance and measurement
  • Coordinate with Risk modeling and Data scientist team to develop the roadmap for collections scorecard
  • Join all the meeting with the internal and external stakeholders, also with the external partnership which is related to risk management
  • Develop the risk budget and planning, including the monitoring of KRIs, risk cost, underwriting cost, NPL, PD, LGD, …
  • Conduct the period sharing/ training within DFS and 1MG, in order to build up the sound risk management and fraud prevention culture
  • Participate in other relevant projects assigned by Line Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • >= 5 years of experience in Credit Risk management in Financial institutions (Foreign Banks, or any other digital banks, or Consumer finance companies)
  • Manage the team >= 3 members
  • Latest position is Manage up
  • Debt collections governance/ tactic planning is a critical advantage
  • Familiar with way of working: Agile, Autonomy, Teamwork và Lean
  • Familiar with Excel, SQL, PowerBI
  • Advance capability to present and communicate clearly the requirements,  to transform the big ideas into small tasks/ messages
  • Advance communication skills with all stakeholders
  • Advance problem solving skills, taking into account Lean and Agile
  • Strictly follow timeline and adapt with scrum team organization
  • Highly focus on detail
